What is the coACTION Sensor?
The coACTION Sensor is a set of questionnaires designed for the whole school community (school leaders, teachers, students, and parents) to diagnose the current state of democratic culture in the school, set development goals, and evaluate progress in integrating democratic values into school life.
1. Create new acount
Click on “Create new account” below the login button to start registering.
Language Selection
In this tab, you can choose the language in which the platform will be displayed.Simply click on the drop-down menu and select your preferred language (German, English, Spanish, Portuguese, or Greek).
2. Age and location verification
Enter your age and country of residence. Please note that you must be of legal age in your country to autoregister.
3. Accept the policies
Read the Site policies and GDPR information carefully and click on “I agree to the Policy” to continue.

4. Fill in your account details
Complete the required fields: Username, Password, Email, First name, Last name, City/Town, and Country. 👉 It is strongly recommended to use the same email address as your username to ensure correct registration.

5. Participation in CoACTION Sensor
If you want to participate in the project, you must check the first option (“Check this box for any type of participation in the CoACTION Sensor”).👉If, in addition to participating in the project, you also want to participate individually (without any school), then you must check both options (the first and the second).
6. Select your role
Choose your role from the dropdown menu (School Manager, Teacher, or Parent).👉 The role you select will determine:
- The type of questionnaire you will need to complete.
- The permissions and access you will have within the CoACTION Sensor platform.
7. Final step: Security check
Tick the box “I’m not a robot” to complete the security verification.
Then click on “Create my new account” to finish your registration.
👉 Your account will be created, and you will receive a confirmation email.

8. Confirm your account
After completing the registration form, you will see a message informing you that a confirmation email has been sent to the address you provided.👉 Open your email inbox and look for the message “DEMP coACTION: account confirmation”. Click on the confirmation link inside the email. If the link does not open directly, copy and paste it into your browser’s address bar. Only after confirming your email will your account be fully activated.

10. Open your profile menu

Click on your profile icon (top right corner). A menu will unfold showing different options such as Profile, Grades, Calendar, Private files, Reports, Preferences, Language, and Log out. From the dropdown menu, click on “Profile”. 👉 There you can view and update your personal information, check your activity, and manage your account details.
Once you confirm your account by email, this page will open. From here you can access the main sections of the CoACTION project

11. Edit your profile
Click on “Edit profile” in the User details section.

12. Status of your coACTION registration
In this section you can check whether your registration has been completed successfully and if you are ready to participate in the CoACTION Sensor. The system will show one of several possible messages, for example: ✅ Successful Pre-Registration ✅ Successful Registration in OPEN coACTION ℹ️ Already registered: Participant information updated ℹ️ Already registered: Participant newly enrolled to its open group ❌ Not registered. Bad values provided ❌ Registration impossible: Already registered with a different role / country / organization ⚠️ Your role is "Pupil": You cannot modify your coACTION profile ❌ Registration Failed: Internal ERROR 👉 If you encounter any problem with your registration status, contact the site administrator or your organization for support.

Select your school from the dropdown menu (it will depend on the country you chose earlier).Enter the school password provided by your organization or project coordinator. Click Submit to save your registration. 👉 Two messages can appear: ✅ If the password is correct: “You have been assigned to the selected school” (you will be redirected to the homepage). ❌ If the password is incorrect: “The password does not match your school’s password. Please check the password and try again.”

After completing your registration, you will be redirected to the homepage. 👉 From here, click on “My courses” in the top menu to access the activities and resources assigned to your role.

In this section, you can access the statistics of the coACTION Sensor, as well as the general information of the organization you belong to.

In this section, you can access the statistics of the CoACTION Sensor. 👉 As a School Manager, you have extended permissions, but only within the organization you belong to: You can create new classes. You can edit existing classes. Other areas (such as Countries, Schools, and Participants) are available only in view mode, you can see the statistics but not edit them.

The Reports section contains the results generated from the answers to the coACTION Sensor questionnaires. Here you will find the consolidated data of all participants.
There are three types of reports:
- Public Report: Available to any person with access to the platform.
Shows general results in a public format.
- Sensor School Report: Accessible only to Administrators, Supervisors, Organizations, Country Managers, and Teachers.
Provides detailed results at the school level, with filters and selectors to refine the data.
- Treasury Gems Recommendations: Accessible only to the same restricted roles (Administrators, Supervisors, Organizations, Country Managers, and Teachers).
Includes recommendations and insights derived from the data, with filtering options for customized reports.
This is the form you must complete to create a new class. 👉 As a School Manager, the School field will already be automatically filled with the school you belong to.
You must complete the following fields:
Teacher: select the teacher who will be the owner of the class.
Class Name: write the name you want to assign to the class.
School Year: indicate the academic year of the class.
Target Group: choose the group this class belongs to (Pupils or Parents).
Finally, click Submit to save the new class.

Public Report: Available to any person with access to the platform.
Shows general results in a public format.
5. Sensor School Results Report
In this section, you can view the results for all participants in your school. 👉 As a School Manager, your Country and School will already be automatically selected.
You will then need to complete the following fields:
- Select a Target Group – choose the group of participants you want to analyze.
- Class in School – select the class within your school.
- Select a Sensor instance for Class – choose the questionnaire instance you want to review.
Select these options according to your needs for analysis.
School Results Report
Shows the general data of the selection you made previously (country, school, target group, class, and sensor instance).
Provides averages and overall statistics, such as the number of participants, number of answers, and mean scores.
Sensor Results
Displays the average scores for each area and subarea, based on the target group you selected earlier (e.g., School Managers, Teachers, Parents, Pupils).
Helps you compare the performance across different democratic areas like Communication Flow, School Climate, Participation of Pupils, etc.
Data Analysis
An interactive table that gives a detailed breakdown of the averages by areas and subareas.
Allows filtering and comparisons by sex, age ranges, sensor instance, or target group.
Offers the most granular view of the data, helping to identify patterns and differences within groups.
6. Sub-reports in Sensor School Results
Sensor School Results Report = general data. Sensor Results = averages by areas and sub-areas of the selected group. Data Analysis = interactive breakdown with advanced filters.
🖨️ How to Print or Save the Sensor School Results Report
- Right-click with your mouse anywhere on the report screen.
- A print preview window will appear.
- In this window, click on “More settings.”
- Check the box “Background graphics” to make sure all graphs and visuals are included in the printout.
- To save the report as a file instead of printing:
- In the Destination menu, select “Save as PDF.”
- Then click Save, choose the folder on your computer, and confirm.
👉 By following these steps, you can either print a physical copy of the report or save it as a PDF for digital use.

Resources Table:
- A table containing direct links to recommended Treasury resources, organized according to the areas and results of your selection.
- The resources provided will be available in the languages in which they have been uploaded.
- These resources are suggested to support the improvement of aspects identified in the Sensor results.

Each student will receive their username and password directly from their school. 👉 These credentials are personal and must be used to log in to the platform.

In this section, you can access the statistics of the coACTION Sensor, as well as the general information of the organization you belong to.

In this section, you can access the statistics of the CoACTION Sensor. 👉 As a School Manager, you have extended permissions, but only within the organization you belong to: You can create new classes. You can edit existing classes. Other areas (such as Countries, Schools, and Participants) are available only in view mode, you can see the statistics but not edit them.

The Reports section contains the results generated from the answers to the coACTION Sensor questionnaires. Here you will find the consolidated data of all participants. There are three types of reports:
This is the form you must complete to create a new class. 👉 As a School Manager, the School field will already be automatically filled with the school you belong to. You must complete the following fields: Teacher: select the teacher who will be the owner of the class. Class Name: write the name you want to assign to the class. School Year: indicate the academic year of the class. Target Group: choose the group this class belongs to (Pupils or Parents). Finally, click Submit to save the new class.

Public Report: Available to any person with access to the platform. Shows general results in a public format.
5. Sensor School Results Report
In this section, you can view the results for all participants in your school. 👉 As a School Manager, your Country and School will already be automatically selected. You will then need to complete the following fields:
School Results Report Shows the general data of the selection you made previously (country, school, target group, class, and sensor instance). Provides averages and overall statistics, such as the number of participants, number of answers, and mean scores.
Sensor Results Displays the average scores for each area and subarea, based on the target group you selected earlier (e.g., School Managers, Teachers, Parents, Pupils). Helps you compare the performance across different democratic areas like Communication Flow, School Climate, Participation of Pupils, etc.
Data Analysis An interactive table that gives a detailed breakdown of the averages by areas and subareas. Allows filtering and comparisons by sex, age ranges, sensor instance, or target group. Offers the most granular view of the data, helping to identify patterns and differences within groups.
6. Sub-reports in Sensor School Results
Sensor School Results Report = general data. Sensor Results = averages by areas and sub-areas of the selected group. Data Analysis = interactive breakdown with advanced filters.

- Then click Save, choose the folder on your computer, and confirm.

Overview
