"Ai would have done worse"

Sky:CoTL: Optical Illusions Jan.12, 2020

During my online art class we were given a assigment to make a drawing that featured four different optical illusions. At the time I was into playing a game called "Sky: Children of the Light" created by Thatgamecompany. I remember siting at the table infront of the TV painting away as my mom was cooking dinner. It was a rather warm evening, but that didn't stop me from getting my hand dirty with paint while watching a movie on the TV. I did illusions such doing the negatives of colors (bottom right) and an attempt at glitches (top left.) My main meduim being Apple Barrel paint as it cheep and affordable, being 50 cents at the time.

N from Murder Drone - Jun.12, 2022

During my freshmen year I was into this show called "Murder Drones," a indie show produced by Glitch Productions. My favorite character from the show was N, one of the main characters. I wanted to draw as if he was my own story, thus I created fanart of him during my free time.It was rushed at the time as you can see from the shakey lineart and messy lineart, but at the time I was happy with how it came out Fanart: Art created by a fan of, and featuring characters from, a particular TV series, movie, etc.

PawdCast - Freshmen

During my freshmen year on The Pinion my friends wanted to try make a Podcast for The Pinion. While they handled the more techy stuff, I created art for it. I took photos of them while also making notes of their favorite colors as gradients. Looking back it now my lineart and antomny could of been a bit better, I'm still proud that I made it; as I can look back at it and compare it with my current work to see all the progress I've made.

Bed of Flowers - Nov.7, 2021

I started getting into digital art more and after I gotten an Ipad, styuls and the app Procreate, I started expirmenting with the app in an attempt to try find my art style. My first few attempts consited of lineless art with soft shading and at the time I was really happy with my current artstyle. This drawing I've done played played around a lot with the symmtery tool, the various overlays the app provides and soft shading. The art depiecting one of my ocs playing down in a bed of flowers. Superheros - 2nd Grade

During 2nd Grade I loved the ideas of superheros and superpowers, and wondered what powers my class would have along what they would look like as superheros. I've spent my free time in classes drawing my entire class as superheros. I would be so proud of my creations and showed all my classmates the superhero sonas I've made for them. It worth spending class time and lots of broken crayons to see there reactions to it.

Sci-fi Me - Jun.26, 2020

I remember sitting in math class bored when drawing this. As I quitely talked to my friend during some down time I got the idea to draw us as if we were in a sci-fi world. So instead of my classwork I took out my sketchbook and got to work. I've always been fond of the sci-fi genere so after creating this drawing, I made a small story surrounding it. I even started including other friends and classmates into the story; drawing up there own characters. What started as a small idea spirled into an entire story.

Ghost is one my original characters that have stuck with me for a very long time, going through many design changes and story changes. He first started off as a fantasy oc before turning a panther hybrid character. He is a character that I project onto and find comfort in. Everytime I draw him I have fun and it brings me lot of joy in making him come to life. I get excited to show art works of him to my friends as well, sharing his story and the different drawing ideas I have for him. Each time I redesigned him its with love and even more passion than last time. I'm happy to say that everytime I draw him wether that be a fully piece or small sketch, I'm glad that I continued drawing.

One of Ghost's older designs when I was still trying to find my artstyle and praticing my anatomy. While I'm a bit embarssed seeing how I used to draw him back then, its nice to see how much my art progressed when comparing it to my newer works. Orginally Ghost had white horns and a black rough gradient going up his skin. I never settled on a offical outfit for him so I often drew him in different outfits trying to find the one that matches him the best.

His latest design. The major changes include removing his horns as it didn't fit his character anymore, adding more more body hair along with healed self-harm scars to reflect my own struggles with self-harm.

Wanting to make his design a bit more sense I changed up his horns while adding some body hair. I also kept up with his main color being blue still while making him as not beefy as I felt it didn't fit his character nor story.

Lyric Interpertaion - Feb.16, 2021

During my online art class, one of our assigments was to turn a lyric from a song into a drawing. I chose "Villian" by Stella Jang as I was obbssed with her songs at the time and I had lots of ideas for my drawing. This drawing played around with various mediums such as water based ink pens, acrylic paint and gel pens. It wanted to expirment with the different mediums, wanting to get out my comfort zone of just coloring in with color pencils.

Meet the Cast - Jul.12, 2020

This is a traditonal piece I have done during the pandmeic. It consists of people's original characters surrounding my own character in the middle. This was for a small online project of mines that I later scrapped because of online school coming up. The poses/layout itself was inspired by an online base I found. At the time I remember being very proud with how it came out, especially hearing the comments from my current online friends at the time; which the characters surrounding mines belong to.

Culture Mask - Oct. 23, 2020

For an assigment on my online art class we had to draw a mask from your culutre, but we had to add something to modernize it. I'm Filipino so I decided to draw myself wearing one, while in a comfy outfit. Around this time I started getting more into digital art after I found a free drawing app called IbisPaint X on my phone. Instead of using a stylus I used my finger to do all of the drawing. Looking back now I applud myself for creating full drawings with just my finger alone since I don't have the stamina to do that anymore.
