en classe de français

Je m'appelle

Madame Bramaud-Mombelli

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am French and come from La Côte d'Azur in France also known in the US as The Riviera. It is located in the South East of France close to Italy. After spending several years in Paris, my husband and I decided to relocate in NY with our three children. My one big passion is reading !

The students will...

2) gain an understanding of the French speaking cultures around the world. 3. appreciate how knowing the French language and culture can enrich their life in the community, give them access to resources in the language, and be life-long learners.

1) build proficiency in the three modes of communication – interpretive, interpersonal and presentational - through daily practice in target skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing French

Les règles de la classe!

We try to stay engaged as much as possible. We do our best every day.
We come prepared into the class (homework, notebook, textbook and writing supplies)
We raise our hand when wishing to speak and we speak in a loud, clear voice so that the entire class can hear. Conversely, when someone else is speaking, we must listen attentively
The language inside the classroom is French
We avoid leaving the classroom unless absolutely necessary

Chewing gums and food are prohibited in class except on special occasions. Water is the only beverage allowed. We do not leave trash behind

HONESTY POLICY

Academic dishonesty is a very serious violation within a school community. Cheating and plagiarism constitute divisive and destructive forces that affect all members of Hunter. Those who cheat are dishonestly rewarded, and those who are honest are denied chances of pursuing various academic opportunities. As a result, honesty is threatened and cheating thrives, which is detrimental to the school community, creating mistrust among students, faculty, and administration, and also destroys Hunter’s reputation and academic credibility.

In the Modern and Classical Languages Department, students must observe the following: - Complete homework assignments independently, unless otherwise instructed, as this serves as practice for exams and quizzes. Students will not know their problem areas if they are helped by friends or copy from them. - Both parties will be penalized equally when it has been discovered that students have shared homework. - The use of AI tool, including Chat GPT and any translation program or outside translation source is not allowed for any assignment. - Any sources used must be properly cited. - Copying from someone else’s exam, paper, homework or essay is a violation of the Academic Honesty Policy. - Using notes or other materials (including cell phones, tablets, computers, etc.) during an exam without authorization is a violation of the Academic Honesty Policy. - Sharing and/or disclosing questions or answers on quizzes or tests which have already been administered with other students is a violation of the Academic Honesty Policy.
