Las principales características de las generaciones del computador

Primera Generación (1940-1956): Esta generación utilizaba tubos de vacío para los circuitos y tambores magnéticos para la memoria. Las computadoras eran enormes, consumían mucha electricidad y generaban gran cantidad de calor.

Segunda Generación (1956-1963):La invención del transistor marcó un gran avance. Los transistores reemplazaron a los tubos de vacío, haciendo las computadoras más pequeñas, rápidas y eficientes energéticamente.

Tercera Generación (1964-1971): La aparición de los circuitos integrados (CI) fue la innovación clave. Un solo chip podía contener muchos transistores, lo que permitió una mayor miniaturización y un aumento de la velocidad..

Cuarta Generación (1971-1980):La invención del microprocesador fue la característica principal.

Quinta Generación (1980-Presente): Esta generación se enfoca en la inteligencia artificial (IA) y el procesamiento en paralelo. Las computadoras actuales buscan simular la inteligencia humana, con avances en reconocimiento de voz, procesamiento del lenguaje natural y robótica.
