As you know, in this class, by the end of the year, you are expected to reach the B2 level. One of the criteria for this level is the following one : « Je prononce globalement correctement, à la fois pour les sons et l’intonation. » I will often write the transcription of words that are difficult to pronounce.
Ex : ship /ˈʃɪp/, sheep /ˈʃiːp/, hat /ˈhæt/, heart /ˈhɑːt/, pepper /ˈpepə/, paper /ˈpeɪpə/, test /ˈtest/, taste /ˈteɪst/, quite /ˈkwaɪt/, quiet /ˈkwaɪət/
• Les consonnes sont soit sourdes (articulées sans vibration des cordes): /p/, /t/, /k/, /f/, /θ/, /s/, /ʃ/, /tʃ/, /h/, soit sonores (articulées avec une vibration des cordes vocales) : /b/, /d/, /g/, /m/, /n/, /ŋ/, /v/, /ð/, /z/, /ʒ/, /dʒ/, /l/, /r/, /w/, /j/.

Match each book cover to its literary genre and definition:
-Graphic novel
-Science Fiction
-Short Story
-Autobiography
-Novel
______________________________________ -Personal account of one’s own life.
-Shorter than the novel, it is meant to be read at one sitting and is therefore compact.
-Mixes the formats of the comic and the traditional novel. It tells a story through vignettes that contain illustrations and texts but, unlike traditional comics, it is aimed at a more adult audience and the story has literary overtones.
-A long, fictitious prose narrative.
-Narrative taking place in the future, or other planets.
