RightID Information
Right ID is a new identity verification tool. This product requires candidates to upload a live selfie and a government-issued photo ID. Those photos are then compared using facial recognition software to confirm a match between the two. Background screening orders will now move through three phases:
- Right ID - Identity Verification (RID)
- Social Security Number Verification (SSNV)
- Criminal and All Other Background Components
RightID or Ssnv needs review, CPIC
GovID and KBQ status

The I-9 Form, mandated by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, is required to verify the identity and legal authorization to work of all paid employees in the United States. This requirement is sent to candidates once they have completed all the pre-employment steps (including Onboarding Paperwork), once they are ready to roster. This is not a requirement to be hired, but it’s legally required to complete this by the employee third day of employment to keep their employment status secure. Recruiters don't need to follow-up for completion of the I-9 form. Depending on the position type, a different team will assist candidates in reaching e-verified status (when their form I-9 is fully completed).

Only applicable for Canada
We will refer to the Work Authorization/Temporary Permit verification as "Work Permit verification," since this is the type of temporary permit most commonly used by candidates to demonstrate that they are legally allowed to work in Canada. However, this is not the only type of temporary permit document that candidates may have.
- SINs beginning with a "9" Are issued to temporary workers who are neither Canadian citizens nor permanent residents. These temporary SINs are valid until the expiry date: Indicated on the immigration document authorizing them to work in Canada.
- Among the acceptable documents we find: Work Permit/Employment Authorization, Study Permit, Visitor Record, Diplomatic Identity Card. Each one of these documents have specific verification instructions.
Additional Fields
This section allows for the tracking of specific candidate information that can differ from one client to another. The fields within this section are fully customizable by the Onboarding Supervisor to meet a client's unique program needs. The data collected here is only for tracking purposes and is not a requirement for a candidate to be hired.
Section shows RID information
This section displays the following Right ID data:
- Gov ID Verification Status - This indicates if the candidate's identity was verified by checking their physical ID.
- Knowledge Based Question (KBQ) Status - If a candidate's identity can't be verified through their Gov ID, they're taken to the KBQ. This section shows if their identity was verified through that method.

Licensing
The Licensing Module is designed to serve for tracking during various stages of the licensing process, from the initial profile creation to final candidate approval. • Unlike the other ONB sections in TASS, when we click ‘+Tracker’ at the licensing module, a pop-up will prompt us to track and leave comments regarding the candidate’s licensing process. Both Onboarding Specialists and Licensing Recruiters will be able to update and leave comments for their specific tracking items.
Licensing Database vs FADV
This module compares the licensing class information the candidate entered in the licensing database (during the BIQ and IAF) against the data provided in the background check. Both sets of data must match. If a mismatch occurs, the appropriate action must be taken to resolve it based on the specific circumstances.
