William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in stratford-upon-avon, England. He was an English playwright, poet, and actor widely regarded as one of the greatest writers in the English language. Wrote 39 plays, 154 sonnets, and several narratives poems. he died in 1616.

In Macbeth, a Scottish general hears a prophecy that he will become king. Driven by ambition and pushed by his wife, he murders King Duncan. He becomes king but ia haunted by guilt and fear. His tyranny leands to rebellion, and he is eventually killed.
