How to Process an Organization?

Log into Cargowise making sure to use the correct Company, Branch and Department

From the top left section, go to “Maintain”, “Master Data” and select “Organization”

How to Process an Organization?

We have different security right groups for Master Data Management (MDM). A standard user (e.g., Shipment Coordinator) has less security rights than a Data Steward. In the below screenshot you can see the different areas of rights.

• Red: Can be created/selected by all standard users.

• Blue: Can only be edited/selected by MDM Data Stewards.

• Green: Can only be ticked/unticked via Interface (Helios/Business Center).

Controlling Customer

A Controlling Customer is defined as being the organization responsible for the shipment. This could be the shipper, consignee, or a 3rd Party rate owner (RFQ). This is also directly related to the vertical assigned to the booking (assigned within the Sales tab).

• Each Organization Type flagged provides access to a corresponding tab on the Organization. The applicable tick of the organization type must be there to put in details on the respective tab. For example, the type “Carrier” must be ticked before the Carrier tab can be viewed.
• It is possible for more than one Organization Type to be ticked depending on the use case. For example, an Agent of Hellmann could be, depending on the services performed by the Agent, flagged as Receivables, Payables, Warehouse, Forwarder/Agent, Broker and Services.

DO NOT use Group ALL or CNE. The workflow is generated by Type and if set up incorrectly, we could be sending our customs forms to the customer by mistake. CNE should only be used if the customer does want specific customs documents.
