What Is Customs Brokerage Documentation?

Customs import entry documentation is the set of official paperwork and data submitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to legally bring goods into the country.

Customs Brokerage Documentation

Mandatory documents in your Entry Packet (CRI) should be in the following order:

  • Lacey Act PPQ Form 505
  • Aluminum/Steel Import License
  • Toxic Substances Control Act Statement (TSCA)
  • Certificate of Origin (COO)
  • Any Customs and/or PGA forms not previously mentioned
  • In-Bond (CBP Form 7512)
  • Customer Communication
  • Proof of release
  • Entry Summary (CBP Form 7501)
  • Invoice Lines Report (ILR)
  • Commercial Invoice (CIV)
  • Packing List (PL)
  • In-Bond (CBP Form 7512)
  • AD/CVD Non-reimbursement statement

All docs should be stored within CW and should be in PDF format including any email communication.
