Unit 1 - Lesson 1

I. Getting to know each other

Your mission:

Let's fill in the questionnaire

1.

- First of all, take a piece of paper and write down one adjective that could describe your partner (based on your first impression). Fold it and hide it.- Second of all, tell your partner which adjective best describes your personality. Explain why. - Then, choose one adjective that does not describe you at all. Explain why it doesn’t suit you. - Switch roles. - Finally, reveal the adjective you had written for your partner. Explain why you chose it, and then react to what your partner wrote about you. Be kind and respectful!

Let's talk about adjectives

2.

Your mission:

Discover the word of the day

1.

- Each group will be assigned a specific theme from our future class charter (respect, work, attitude, group life...).- You’ll have 10 minutes to discuss and agree on 3 clear rules related to your theme. - Once time is up, your group will present your rules to the class. We will then discuss and vote together to decide whether they will be included in our final charter.

IIi. Speed-friending

Your mission:

Discover what speed-friending is

1.

Now that we’ve created our questionnaire and you’ve selected 8 questions to ask someone, it’s time to practice speed friending! The class will be divided into two groups: One group will ask the questions, The other group will answer. The “answer” group will rotate and move to a new partner after each round. After a few rounds, we will switch roles: the askers will become the answerers and vice versa. ⏱️ For each exchange, you will have 2 minutes. The student asking the questions must collect and write down key information about the person they’re talking to.
