Royal Decree

Cinderella has found herself in deep trouble! Lady Tremaine has found out Cinderella is the mysterious fleeing woman who danced with the Prince at the ball. Now that the Prince is looking for her, Lady Tremaine has locked Cinderella up in the attic until after the Prince comes in an hour. She states she will "deal with you then, Cinderella, for being a useless, disobedient girl!" Will you help Cinderella escape in time to reveal herself to the Prince?

Please! Oh, it's no use... I'll have to find a way out myself. The Prince will be here in an hours time and I must see him again!

There must be something to help me get out. Where should I start....

Oh! How terrible! Stepmother, please, let me out!

Alright, now which drawer to look in...
I've no time to read! There's nothing here that is standing out.
It's completely empty!
The jewlery box is empty... not much to aid me in here.

A key! This has to go somewhere... Maybe that trunk I saw in the corner!

The door is locked... I'll need to find a key that fits.
It's locked tight. I'll need to find a key...

Thank you for saving us!

We'll slip under the door and look for clues!

Cinderelly, don't worry!

And so the sisters blabbed while the pair listened... they make their way back to Cinderella

Ugh! I can't BELIEVE Cinderella was that mystery woman and the Prince is coming to find her!

Yes! Mother hid that one well! She said something about it being not fiction or something...

Shut it, Drizella! She won't get out. She'll never find the book she needs!

Let them talk...They're saying some good stuff to tell Cinderelly.

Why are we in here? Ther-

Wait! Shh... I hear something!

As Cinderella hears the clock chime, she knows there is 30 minutes left before the Prince arrives to find his runaway love. Hope fades until she hears the telltale scurry of mice. They tell her all they heard from her evil stepsisters!
Okay, now which book is it?

For one, I know personally that the spinning wheel can be both a dangerous and wonderful tool. The pointed tip at one end of the machine, the spindle, was used to draw out and wind the yarn. While some machines had a rounded spindle, making it less hazardous in normal use, the ones I've encountered were sharp enough to prick your finger!

Chapter One: Parts of the Wheel

Spinning the Wheel: A History

by Aurora Briarson
This looks to be the one! Oh, it has a bookmark in it...

Some of these letters are a different color... perhaps that's the code I should jot down.

NOTE: Write down or remember the code!

Where should I begin to look to put in the code?

This panel is loose... maybe I can lift it?

This dressform doesn't seem to have any rips or tears. It looks untouched to me. I'll have to look elsewhere...

The door is locked... I'll need to find a key that fits.
Freedom!

Cinderella Escaped!

Congratulations!

She met with the Prince and lived Happily Ever After

The End

Thanks for playing!
Hint: You can use the drawing tool at the top right corner.
Help Jaq and Gus Gus escape! Draw a line to the exit then press the bubble next to the opening to set them free.
To my dearest Anastasia & Drizella,

A spare is an important thing to keep hidden but close. Drizella, Anastasia, if that wretched girl Cinderella ever dares to try locking you in this room, this key will help you escape. I know she is too dim-witted to find this herself but you girls know me well enough. Use this key to open the door and come back to me. -LadyTremaine

Which book is it based on the clues?
  • "Over the Garden Hedge" is a fairytale.
  • The book by A. Briarson is NOT fiction.
  • "A Thousand Days" is black.
  • The book with "Garden" in the title is green.

The book we need is non-fiction. What is the title and color of the book?

Hint: It may be easier to draw the grid out on a scrap piece of paper.
