The English language education in Japan needs some serious revamping, and Going Global is going to do just that.
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Didy has been living and working in Japan for almost a decade. With her background in foreign language education and her passion for teaching students about global issues, she founded DidyLabs, which aims to promote global and cultural understanding through language learning.
More than just learning English While language learning is the base for Going Global, the resource also encourages critical thinking and intercultural understanding.
A long-awaited bilingual, globally-connected resource While there are plenty of ESL resources out there, not many of them are available in both English and Japanese, or with the global outlook that Going Global offers.
Why choose Going Global?
Traditional ESL materials in Japan are disconnected from the real world, resulting in students feeling bored and disengaged at the dry, repetitive, and overly academic content that often revolves around entrance exams for higher ed. The current test-driven approach to language learning has resulted in Japan ranking low in English proficiency.
An educator's best friend With its ready-made and high-quality materials, Going Global can lighten the load when it comes to classroom and lesson preparation.
