mLearning Product - "Just-in-time" Financial Sector Training

Inspiration: Project with a Big 5 banking client, where I collaborated with a 15-member design/development team to deliver a 200+ learing product ecosystem.

The Solution
The Problem

Mobile Mortgage Specialists at Loyalty One Bank are always on the go, meeting customers, visiting builder sites, and growing their network of leads. With considerable time spent on the road, these mortgage professionals find it hard to access the reference material provided during their onboarding training.

This "just-in-time" mLearning product supports learners in accessing crucial reference materal "just-in-time". I first empathised with the learners' experience to design the information architecture (IA) of the mLearning product. I then built an interactive module, led by the principles of learning design and UI/UX design.

Digital Course - Remote Work Best Practices

Inspiration: Project to analyze learning needs, design, and develop remote employee onboarding training for a hospitality and real estate company with over 200 remote employees.

The Solution
The Problem

The Fayman Group, a hospitality and real estate company with 200+ remote employees, was seeing a high rate of remote employee attrition. A detailed needs analysis, consisting of learner interviews and business consultations uncovered key challenges. This process revealed that new remote employees lacked guidance on remote work best practices.

I used Articulate Rise to design and develop an interactive digital course on best practices for remote employee onboarding. I researched, curated, and synthesized the learning content, developed the asset as per the company's branding, and embedded regular knowledge checks throughout the module.

Web Microlearning - Conflict Resolution Skills for Gen-Z Leaders

Context: Developed in my role as aLearning Designer with Rumie, an EdTech nonprofit delivering accessible, Gen-Z friendly web microlearning.

The Solution
The Problem

As a Rumie Learning Designer, I built a Byte (microlearning module) on the topic of conflict resolution skills and strategies for new team leaders. I curated credible sources, developed audience-appropriate content, and designed the multimedia layout. I added fun facts, scenario-based examples, and quizzes for an engaging and interactive learning experience.

Rumie is on a mission to fill knowledge gaps for Gen-Z university students and early-career professionals. We do this by publishing accessible and approachable web microlearning. Using SEO analytics and online social media discussion forums, Rumie identified a need for a microlearning on conflict resolution for first-time Gen-Z leaders.

Animated eLearn Video - Overview of Company Departments

Inspiration: Client project with a hospitality and real estate company, involving business consultations, needs analysis, learning design, and development.

The Problem
The Solution

I created a lively animated video using Vyond to walk new hires through the structure the company departments. To maintain engagement and clarity, I streamlined the script and applied Mayer’s multimedia learning principles. This involved using dynamic visuals, thoughtful pacing, and the use of only essential on-screen text.

The Fayman Group faces a common onboarding challenge: employees are often disengaged and overwhelmed by the large volume of information shared with them during their onboarding training. They often struggle to remember the company's departments, its organizational structure, and their place within it.

Blended Training Program - Digital Change Adoption in Higher Ed

Inspiration: Client project with a post-secondary institution, where I redesigned 100+ hours of a Diploma program, transitioning to asynchronous delivery. This portfolio piece was submitted as the final capstone project for my Professional Diploma in Digital Learning Design.

The Problem
The Solution

Maplewood University's Department of Social Work observed a decline in student enrolment across its in-person and online synchronous programs. Student surveys and recruitment interviews found that applicant's busy schedules are an important factor in the downward enrolment trends, with many showing a preference for self-paced, asynchronous learning.

Drawing on the principles of organizational change management, the university strategically plans a shift to asynchronous learning. This project demonstrates the high-level plan for an initial 10-week faculty training program on asynchronous learning, with a developed sample of one interactive, self-paced module.
