Part 4 God's Solution
Before sending Adam and Eve out of the Garden, God announced His plan of grace with the promise of a Savior: a unique Person would someday come to earth and pay the price for man's sin. God depicted that promise by clothing Adam and Eve with the skins of spotless, sacrificed animals. This was a picture of Jesus Christ, who would be the spotless "Lamb of God" sacrificed on the cross (John 1:29, 1 Pet. 1:19).
Adam and Eve accepted God's promise of a Savior, and they became spiritually alive again.
Still, they were fallen. They were corrupted with a sin nature that would remain with them until physical death. So they made their way out of the Garden to live the rest of their days in the fallen world. At this point, they were just like you—sinful yet saved creatures. And like you, they could use their volition for or against God's plan to determine how happy and blessed they would be on earth.
