DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
The faculty education director is the head of the faculty office of educational support. The Faculty Council appoints the director of education to shape faculty education policy and serves on the Faculty Board. The director of education is responsible for the form, content, coherence, and implementation of the study programs, initiating new educational initiatives, and advising the Faculty Council on educational matters. The director of education also actively directs educational evaluations, monitors results, and takes remedial action when necessary. The director of education is a member of various faculty committees in which expertise in education is required. As a member of the Education Council, the director of education is also an essential link between the faculty and university-wide education policy.

Supporter
The supporter focuses on content-related and process-oriented support for programmes and lecturers. The aim is to make quality assurance workable, meaningful and development-oriented. The essence of the role: the supporter helps programmes move forward — from analysis to action, from feedback to improvement.
The gatekeeper focuses on coherence, consistency and formal quality assurance within the faculty. This role forms the formal closing step of the quality assurance cycle. The essence of the role: the gatekeeper ensures that quality assurance is evidence-based, consistent and aligned with policy.

- Act as a contact point for students and refer them on
- Providing individual and/or group sessions regarding general study guidance for 1st bachelor students and international students
- Giving subject-related tutoring in mathematics, chemistry, programming and physics for 1st bachelor students
- Contributing to the positioning test (cfr. starttoets)
- Giving a vacation course in chemistry, mathematics, physics
- Providing information to the study guide
- Supporting FBW students in the university-wide optional course 'Coaching & Diversity'

CLUSTER STUDY TRACK COUNSELLING
- Advise and guide students on their study track
- Act as a contact point for students with problems and refer them to the appropriate services or organisational entities where necessary
- Act as a liaison between students and academic staff
- Provide educational communication to prospective students
- Advising on applications for recognition of foreign qualifications at the request of NARIC (National Academic Recognition Information Centre)
- Supporting programmes in drawing up admission requirements, preparatory and transition programmes, horizontal intake, transition curricula

- Administering bachelor's and master's dissertations and internships
