FIRST FLOOR

The main sports hall can convert from 3 standard courts into a show court seating 2,400 spectators using retractable seating. Meeting international standards for basketball, netball and volleyball.

The lounge area is a perfect space to get away from the active areas of the centre, great for recovery and perfect as a ‘homework hub’ for students before or after games.

The main sports hall can convert from 3 standard courts into a show court seating 2,400 spectators using retractable seating. Meeting international standards for basketball, netball and volleyball.

The training and performance area will include shooting machines, ball handling areas and half courts for ‘pick up games’ to sharpen up in game skills.

The main foyer will include a modern and stylish café for ‘re-fuelling’, relaxation and socialising.

Courts 1-3 and 5-7 are the heart of the HISC with 6 standard courts for basketball, netball and futsal and up to 10 volleyball courts.

The multi-purpose rooms will host a range of activities including education sessions and workshops as well as group fitness and community health programs.

Courts 4 and 8 are in a separate sports hall and make a perfect area for large groups (e.g. schools) or specialised activities like pickleball and badminton.

Outside of ‘big events’, the showcourt foyer will be used for table tennis competitions with capacity for 6 tables.

Courts 1-3 and 5-7 are the heart of the HISC with 6 standard courts for basketball, netball and futsal and up to 10 volleyball courts. Court 1 acts as a second showcourt with 200+ seats for spectators.

The main function room will be used for a range of community meetings and functions, but it will also double as corporate space during high profile games.

Designed for movement, the studio has an extra high ceiling designed to cater gymnastics as well as athlete functional assessment and testing.

All though it will function like a normal court, ‘Court 9’ will have a team training focus for representative and (future) professional teams.

Allied health services such as exercise physiology and physiotherapy will keep athletes and the general community in a healthy state.
