About Our Resources
As we research topics for our unit studies and games, we refer to educational websites that we trust to be factual, such as National Geographic or NASA. We also draw from our own personal knowledge and experiences, or consult experts we know. Sometimes the lesson text includes information that comes from the videos included in the lesson or from books, games, or other similar sources. We do our best to find current information on all of the topics in our unit studies, and we do not include any information until we are confident it is current and accurate.

A Note to Teachers
Solar System Sizzle is a great way for kids aged 5-7 to learn about the solar system. Each of the 24 solar system topics includes 3 simple facts as well as meals to create. Each lesson teaches kids about the solar system from the Sun all the way to Oort Cloud! Also included are lessons on telescopes, comets, and space stations. We do not create the lessons with the intent of aligning with Common Core Standards. All lessons are self-paced, kid-friendly, interactive, and secular, with voiceover built in. We recommend that you work through the lesson together with your child. You will also receive a set of worksheets to accompany the game for some hands-on, "off-screen" fun!
