As part of its collaboration agreement with the Polytechnic University of Madrid, GMV is continuing to work with the School of Aeronautics and Space Engineering and the School of IT Systems Engineering, through the GMV Chair and the GMV TechLab respectively, with the goal of contributing to the training and subsequent employment of senior technical experts in aerospace systems and IT systems engineering.
Not only does it have numerous internship agreements in place with both national and international academic institutions, GMV also goes above and beyond to provide opportunities for students and recent graduates with its annual practical training grants, which seek to complement students’ education with practical experience and facilitate their transition to the work world, as well as potential future employment at GMV itself. The company also participates in the Internship Programme of German Business, which provides workplace training for students and recent graduates with outstanding academic records from the Balkan countries.
Every year, GMV supports initiatives to spark students’ interest in science and technology. Examples include its support for the GMV team in the University of Valladolid’s “Capture the Flag” cybersecurity competition and the UPM Racing team at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. GMV also focuses on encouraging girls’ interest in STEM fields, supporting programs such the Asti Talent & Technology Foundation’s STEM Talent Girl initiative and the Women and Engineering excellence mentoring program led by the Royal Academy of Engineering and AMETIC.

GMV collaborates with various non-profit organizations focused on community goals with the mission of seeking a sustainable future. These non-profits include the Fundación Mujeres por África, the Sunshine Foundation in Nosy Koma, Madagascar, and the Spanish Red Cross.
GMV works with several associations and special employment centers, including Fundación Adecco, Fundación CEE Prodis, and Fundación Asperger de Madrid, on specific programs to promote the hiring of people with disabilities and improve accessibility in the workplace.
In October and November, a cut-off low storm system known in Spanish as a DANA hit several Spanish towns and cities, leaving in its wake serious human and material damage, as well as great uncertainty and concern for the future. GMV launched a plan to help the affected communities, including the delivery of healthcare products and cleaning tools. A €30,000 recovery package was also allocated to essential social facilities, such as schools and senior centers, and to help small businesses get back on their feet.

With the goal of cutting resource consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, GMV is renegotiating its energy contracts to ensure that all GMV’s installations in Spain are powered exclusively by energy from renewable sources. In 2023, greenhouse gas emissions were reduced by 22 % compared to 2022, and this trend continued in 2024.
GMV’s environmental policy includes dedicated staff in this area and an annual budget line item for pursuing its environmental goals. A total of €59,662 was allocated in the 2024 fiscal year, a 15% increase compared to 2023.
GMV is committed to more sustainable transport alternatives. Half of GMV’s vehicles are 100% electric. Employees can charge their electric cars in spaces provided by the company, which also offers them other benefits such as transportation vouchers.
