collaboration at pathways: celebrating strides toward self-sufficiency

This past month, we had a client obtain a bank account and save money from all of her pay checks. This was a huge step for her because she has never had a bank account and the idea of saving money was foreign to her. This is a great step towards self-sufficiency!

Following the conclusion of a seasonal role, a client was offered a new employment opportunity.

-The Life House

-Bethel Shelters

One client needed a bike for work because his shift ended on the bus route was not available, which is putting him much later getting back to the shelter. So by obtaining him a bike he was able to get in the shelter a lot earlier at night.

Carolina Community Actions helped 2 of our residents with first month's rent, deposit utility deposit.

- Haven Men's Shelter

- Alston Wilkes Society

Several clients were able to open checking accounts through Family Trust when Keystone held a lesson in the Learning Lab on budgeting. These clients asked a lot of questions, overcame fear, and took steps forward on their journeys to self-reliance!

Dondrelle from FAVOR has been an invaluable support for our Day Shelter guests and continues to provide consistent support.
