Smart Terminal Routing is a payment processing feature that optimizes transaction flow by automatically directing payments through the most efficient Terminal based on the predefined criteria. This ensures faster approvals, reduced transaction failures, and improve success rates for merchants .
For example, if a merchant uses an acquirer that has two different rates for Local and International payments, this feature can be enabled to direct the customer to the related terminal, so he pays with the related rate.
