• Votes YES/NO/I AM NOT SURE
Main Aim
To promote a sense of European identity and encourage understanding of other European cultures.
Materials and preparation
Brochure with recycling activities; a flipchart with the non-governmental organization that I intend to establish for a specific recycling and planet protection activity; game like: If I had used batteries I would.../If I had fruit and vegetable peels I would.../If I had clothes that I no longer use I would...
Tools
powerpoint presentations, films and films and interviews made by partner schools on the occasion of various events organized
Tips For The Trainer
Designing interactive activities, in the form of competitions, increases the level of involvement and motivation of students.
NFE methods
Projects, posters, debate
Learn Check /Debriefing
• Students will be given a list of words in the languages of neighboring nations (zucker, poteca, virag...), and they will have to guess what they mean/what language they are from.
• Teachers will organize a general knowledge of idioms contest for teams, at the end of which students will be awarded a diploma for the best amateur linguist.
Tips For The Trainer
Teachers will need to be prepared with additional images of traditional costumes (women, men, married women, boys, girls, widowers). Also, in case of a tie in the general knowledge contest, teachers will need to develop another list of additional words for the tiebreaker.
Session Description
Duration:3 hoursNumber of Participants: 100 students, 4/5 educatorsTeams of 4 students will paste images from family vacations/trips on the flipchart, marking the town/country/capital of the country where they were. The children will draw lines to represent the routes they followed, display the posters and find common points with the other children's posters. On the map of Europe, the students will paste flags whenever they have been there, drawing conclusions such as:- which was the most frequently visited European country (summer/winter)?- which city did they find the most beautiful from a touristic, historical, cultural, sporting point of view?- how did each experience of free movement through Europe enrich them culturally and spiritually?- what is the European country that you haven't been able to visit yet, but would like to?Main activity:Making posters in teams; identifying common elements and routes; filling in the map of Europe with flags for all visits made there; As an icebreaker , we propose an individual competition with the recognition of the member states from a geographical point of view on a digitalized map of Europe. To complicate the game, we propose some capitals to attach to the European countries.
Tips For The Trainer
• Encouraging new ideas and children's creativity;
• Proposing a future activity based on the idea of a space city that would be energetically supported by recycling the resources used would be a good auspicious activity for the future;
• Popularizing the legislation and state institutions that deal with protecting the well-being of the planet.
Main Aim
To promote the concept of European Active Citizenship and engage students in advocating for positive social change
Tools
Flipcharts, posters, postcards, money ( from different european countries, not necessary euros)
Materials and preparation
- books
- cards
- traditional costumes
Learn Check /Debriefing
- Each team will fill in the European states on the map they received according to their geographical position. Additional points will be awarded for correctly identifying the European capitals. In the end, the winning team will receive the diploma of the best travelers in Europe.
- Quiz
Materials and preparation
- pictures from family trips; pictures from vacations; images of various landforms and the capitals of the countries visited; a large map of Europe divided by states and European flags that can be pasted over the countries.
Learn Check /Debriefing
Group Reflection: The facilitator leads a final discussion to reflect on the activity, asking:
- have you seen anyone recycling plastic bottles?
- if they didn't get money back from recycling bottles, do you think people wouldn't bother recycling?
- what is the most dangerous household waste and how can you avoid pollution with it?
- what are the state institutions that deal with recycling and responsible consumption of resources?
- do you think these institutions do a good job?
Methods
On the last question, students will vote YES / NO / DON'T KNOW and, depending on the result of the vote, practical extracurricular activities for the future will be proposed.
NFE methods
Common activities like traditional carnival promoting local values and traditions, traditional costumes and dance
Session Description
Duration:3 hours
Number of Participants: 100 students, 4/5 educators
- After watching the presentation on the negative effects of pollution, the children will receive a booklet where they will discover various activities to reduce pollution and limit resource consumption.
- Discussions will be held regarding each activity. Students will receive a flipchart on which they will choose a name for the non-governmental organization they will establish and will choose the field of activity regarding recycling/pollution reduction/limiting irresponsible resource consumption.
- Students will present and debate the proposed topics. At the end, their posters will be displayed and correlations will be made between what currently exists in terms of institutions and legal measures and what still needs to be done to optimize the healing of our planet.
- Each activity should include 1 ice breaker/energizer and 1 main activity
- The main activity will be the debate of the posters made by the children (they can also work in pairs) regarding their own future ecological activity, as well as the correlation of what is now from an institutional and legislative point of view with the future needs of the planet.
- As an icebreaker, we propose an activity to create a collage from recyclable elements (eggshell painting, recyclable plastic bottle piggy bank, eggshell flowers).
Activity Title
I can reach any corner of Europe, anytime
Session Description

- Number of Participants: 100 students, 4/5 educators

Coloring cards with citizens dressed traditionally will be prepared. These cards will be colored and displayed on the school fence under the title Although different, we are the same!
- Each activity should include 1 ice breaker/energizer and 1 main activity
- The main activity is watching movies with traditional costumes, then coloring cards with characters dressed in traditional costumes.
- As well as breaking the ice, students will dance, at their choice, one of the traditional dances (dancing in pairs, czardas, waltz)
Main Aim
