"I believe learning should be clear, motivating, and measurable. Whether I’m designing for 16-year-olds or corporate teams, I always start by understanding who they are and what they need. I chunk content into bite-sized parts, add interactive moments for feedback, and use Bloom’s-aligned objectives to guide the experience."

Digital Learning Coach
  • Challenge:
    • To showcase my ability to support teachers with meaningful, easy-to-use tech as part of my Digital Learning Coach application.
  • Goal:
    • To present a tool that simplified classroom routines without overwhelming teachers.
  • Process:
    • I created a clean, visually engaging slide deck introducing 'Classroom Screen', structured with adult learning principles in mind. I highlighted key features like timers, voice levels, and student interaction tools that are each tied to real classroom needs. The presentation included clickable demos, simple visuals, and ready-to-use scenarios.
  • Outcome:
    • The presentation was praised for being practical, accessible, and visually strong. The teachers on the panel commended the presentation, and it helped position me as a strong candidate for the role.
District Level PD
  • Challenge:
    • Teachers weren’t engaging with the content or seeing the value of Genially as a classroom tool.
  • Goal:
    • Redesign the Genially PD experience into something interactive, accessible, and useful across campuses.
  • Process:
    • Using ADDIE as a framework, I first evaluated the current PD materials and identified pain points (navigation, clarity, and relevance). I then restructured the content to include real classroom examples, embedded tutorials, and multiple paths for exploration. I applied instructional design best practices (chunking, visual design, learner control) to increase functionality and relevance.
  • Outcome:
    • The new Genially PD material received positive feedback from campus leadership and teachers. The redesign led to a significant increased interest in teacher usage of Genially. It also earned recognition during a district-wide professional development.
Articulate (Rise 360)
  • Challenge:
    • As part of a self-directed portfolio project, I identified a common challenge in the tech onboarding space: helping new employees and non-technical partners quickly grasp complex topics like data infrastructure.
  • Goal:
    • To create a concise, user-friendly course that introduces Aligned’s core services, industry terminology, and value proposition.
  • Process:
    • Using Articulate Rise 360, I built a responsive, modular course with clean visuals, interactive flashcards, a scenario-based quiz, and clearly defined learning objectives. The content was structured using Bloom’s Taxonomy and grounded in adult learning theory, with real-world application and brand alignment at the forefront. The final product serves as a sample of my ability to design corporate-facing eLearning that’s both informative and accessible.

Three Campus Summit PD
  • Challenge & Goal:
    • Demystify ChatGPT and AI for educators while addressing skepticism, fear, and misuse, shifting the conversation from “cheating tool” to “instructional support powerhouse.”
  • Process:
    • I created a race-themed, interactive session that broke down ChatGPT’s capabilities through practical classroom-based examples, prompt engineering, and real teacher workflows. The experience emphasized ethical use, personalization, and efficiency, allowing educators to test ideas and see instant applications.
  • Outcome:
    • Educators gained clarity, confidence, and actionable strategies for using ChatGPT as a planning partner rather than a replacement. The session reframed AI as a time-saving tool that supports differentiation, creativity, and instructional decision-making, without sacrificing rigor or authenticity.
Three Campus Summit PD
  • Challenge & Goal:
    • Design a professional learning session that helped educators improve Canva presentation design while keeping engagement high in a space where “another Canva training” fatigue.
  • Process:
    • I built an Office-themed Canva presentation that modeled strong design principles in action—intentional layouts, hierarchy, spacing, and visual storytelling—while weaving humor and pop-culture references throughout. The session combined live walkthroughs, design rationale, and immediately applicable tips teachers could use the same day.
  • Outcome:
    • Participants left with clearer design confidence, concrete Canva strategies, and a renewed understanding that professional learning can be both effective and fun. Engagement remained high throughout the session, with strong audience interaction and immediate implementation of techniques.
Secondary Campus PD
  • Challenge:
    • Teachers across content areas were unfamiliar with Canva’s interface and hesitant to adopt new tech tools.
  • Goal:
    • Increase teacher confidence using Canva for classroom materials, presentations, and student-facing content.
  • Process:
    • I designed a hands-on instructional session modeled after adult learning principles, offering multiple scaffolded examples of Canva templates (slides, infographics, classroom posters). I created a clean, visual walk-through of Canva’s dashboard and features, giving teachers time to explore while providing live support. Instruction was structured using a simplified SAM model to iterate in real time based on audience response.
  • Outcome:
    • Teachers walked away feeling empowered to integrate Canva into their classrooms. Follow-up emails included testimonials about improved engagement and creativity in their lesson delivery. Over 90% of participants reported they were “extremely likely” to use Canva in future planning. Several asked for a follow-up session, leading directly into Project 2.
Secondary Campus PD
  • Challenge:
    • Teachers needed simple, non-verbal tools to manage classroom behavior.
  • Goal:
    • Streamline expectations, and reduce disruptions; especially around tech use and group work.
  • Process:
    • I created a short, visually-driven presentation showing how desk lights could be used for classroom management (e.g., group status, noise levels, teacher attention). I included real-life photos, setup examples, and editable Canva templates for implementation. To expand the impact, I added a section on cellphone "parking lots" as another effective strategy, complete with matching templates and usage tips.
  • Outcome:
    • Teachers loved the practicality and ease of implementation. Several voiced their excitement for trying these systems in their classroom. The session sparked conversations around environmental design as a behavior tool, and the presentation was requested to be shared campus-wide.

Successive Approximaton Model The more flexible hands-on approach to course design. Quickly test, edit, and repeat.

SAM

A framework that organizes learning by level. Start with the basic tasks, and build-up to higher-level thinking.

BLOOM'S

A step-by-step process for designing a course; starting with what people need to learn, then building and testing materaisls.

ADDIE

Secondary Campus PD
  • Challenge:
    • After the success of the intro session, teachers wanted practical, subject-specific applications of Canva.
  • Goal:
    • Increase teacher confidence using Canva for classroom materials, presentations, and student-facing content; while keeping the experience fun and visually engaging.
  • Process:
    • I developed an interactive, gamified instructional design experience using a Harry Potter-inspired theme. Teachers received Hogwarts-style “Canva Challenges” designed to align with any content. Activities were scaffolded using Bloom’s Taxonomy (from creating a design to evaluating its classroom use), and feedback checkpoints were embedded throughout.
  • Outcome:
    • Teachers across all subjects completed creative challenges and reported high satisfaction with both the design and delivery of the session. The themed format increased enthusiasm and helped break down resistance to digital tools. Participants noted improvements in their instructional materials' visual hierarchy and engagement.
