  1. Blending Cultures into New Fusion Dishes In the second phase, students and teachers took innovation a step further by selecting key traditional ingredients from both partner countries and combining them to invent completely new, cross-cultural dishes.

Little Ethnomusicologist

Consectetur adipiscing elit

Through the activity “Little Ethnomusicologists”, students from partner schools explored the traditional music of their own country while also learning songs from other partner countries, together with the basics of the language in which those songs were performed. By collaborating on the ESEP platform in TwinSpace, they shared videos and learning experiences and jointly created a collection of exchanged (cross-learned) songs. The students developed musical and collaborative skills, while also enjoying this creative and unusual learning experience. link od digipad

Below you can explore the wonderful results of our joint activity! Watch and listen to our international musical collections where traditional songs, children's songs, and rhymes were shared, learned, and beautifully performed across borders:

In this creative collaborative activity, students stepped into the roles of cultural researchers and storytellers ("little curators") to explore museum exhibits, art, and historical heritage from partner countries. The project activity was realized through a structured, multi-step process:

  1. Museum Exploration & Observation: Students visited local museums or explored chosen works of art, learning to closely observe, analyze, and reflect on what they saw (e.g., asking what the characters feel, what sounds can be heard inside the painting).
  2. Creative Storytelling: Utilizing their imagination, students wrote or drew their own creative stories and reflections about the selected paintings or artifacts.
  3. Digital Archiving & Narration: Pupils recorded their audio narratives, reading their stories aloud, and compiled their digital illustrations, text, and voice recordings into a collaborative digital e-book and shared gallery.

In this collaborative activity, students took on the role of cultural researchers (ethnologists) to discover, visualize, and combine national symbols and heritage from partner countries. The process was carried out through three main steps:

  1. Research & Creation: Students chose a specific local motif, symbol, game, or custom from their own country, explored its background meaning, and created digital illustrations, animations, or cartoon presentations to explain it.
  2. Intercultural Connection: Partner schools explored the shared works, chose a motif from another country that inspired them, and connected it with their own cultural heritage (e.g., combining symbols like the Turkish crescent and star with a Bosnian stećak).
  3. Joint Tapestry of Friendship: Through this collaborative exchange, students combined symbols from both countries to create a final, unified digital product—a rich collaborative gallery reflecting shared European values and connections.

A Crumb of Culture 2

The project continues on from the previous year, but puts students in the role of collectors of culture. They research, document and present the cultural elements of their region and other countries - songs, customs, works of art, landmarks and traditional dishes. The activities are varied and adapted to the age of the students (7-15 years), and allow each school to choose those that best suit the curriculum and subjects. https://padlet.com/josipaerhardt1/logo-virtual-exhibitione-a-crumb-of-culture-2-ov0hma9ij2wisfkl
