Yellowdig

Gradebook Organization

Gradebook Organization

  • There is an Overcall Course Average grade item that will calculate students' averages throughout the term.
    • Note: If your course uses Yellowdig, these points will be factored towards to the end of the term.
  • The D2L Gradebook includes a Category for each module's grade items.

Redesigned Required Resources

AUO's "Required Resources" has an updated name - Instructional Resources. It now includes tabs: Readings, Multimedia, and Supplemental Resources (if applicable).

Manual Checklists

  • The Module Checklist topic has been replaced.
  • Students can manually check their completion for each module topic as they progress through the course.

Interactive Content

At AU Online, we strive for contemporary and engaging courses. Content is presented in ways that promote interaction among peers, with the instructor, as well as with the content.

  • When students click on a module, they will immediately see the Overview, Course Learning Objectives and Summary of Learning Activities.

Instructor Resources Module

The information provided in the Instructor Resources modules is now presented in a more concise manner with + expandable buttons for more details. Setup information for Yellowdig is available as well.

StudentResources Module

Resources to support student success are centrally located in this module, including a Turnitin Draft folder and Citation Style Guides.

Yellowdig

Yellowdig is now available for use in all AU Online courses. In many courses, Yellowdig has replaced D2L Discussions. In the Yellowdig communites for each course, topics are discussed instead of more traditional prompts being answered. Much richer engagement with course content, peers, and the instructor are occurring in Yellowdig. Please let us know how we can support your use of Yellowdig with your students.

Details for Assessments & Activities

Details for Assessments and Activities are now prominently displayed at the top, ensuring this important information is easy to locate for both students and faculty.
