Hiroshima

Due to crosswind, the bomb missed the aiming point, the Aioi Bridge, by approximately 240 m (800 ft) and detonated directly over Shima Surgical Clinic. It released energy equivalent to 16 ± 2 kilotons of TNT —four times the tonnage of conventional bombs, The radius of total destruction was about 1.6 kilometers (1 mi), with resulting fires across 11 km2 (4.4 sq mi).

Nagasaki

At 11:01, an atomic bomb, containing a core of about 5 kg (11 lb) of plutonium, was dropped over the city's industrial valley. It exploded 47 seconds later at 11:02 halfway between the Mitsubishi Steel and Arms Works in the south and the Nagasaki Arsenal in the north. The resulting explosion released the equivalent energy of 21 ± 2 kt (87.9 ± 8.4 TJ).The explosion was seen from 160 kilometers (100 mi) away.

Pearl Harbor

Japan launched a preemptive strike on the US naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941, hoping to destroy the US fleet and gain time to secure their conquests in the Pacific. The attack was devastating, as many US ships were destroyed or damaged, 200 aircraft destroyed, and over 2,000 men were killed. Thankfully, the US aircraft carriers, vital for projecting power into the Pacific, were not at Pearl Harbor.
