Asst. Prof. Lawrence Fung
Dr. Lawrence Fung is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University, where he directs the Stanford Neurodiversity Project and the Neurodiversity Clinic. His research spans from neuroimaging studies to rethinking neurodiversity and applying this concept in clinical, educational, and employment contexts. Through participatory research, his lab develops innovative interventions aimed at enhancing the well-being and potential of neurodiverse individuals.

Prof. Jonathan Green
Professor Jonathan Green is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the University of Manchester and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. He has led the development of parent-mediated interventions for early autism, including PACT and iBASIS, and helped design integrated early care pathways now used in the UK and internationally. His recent work includes participatory research with the autistic community and calls for a reconceptualisation of autism that includes developmental and experiential perspectives. He is an NIHR Senior Investigator, Fellow of the UK Academy of Medical Sciences, and Global Senior Leader for autism at INSAR.

Prof. Sir Simon Baron-Cohen
Professor Sir Simon Baron-Cohen is Director of the Autism Research Centre at the University of Cambridge. He has made pioneering contributions to autism research, particularly through the development of the prenatal sex steroid theory and his work on neurodiversity. He is also recognised for promoting the public understanding of autism and for advancing human rights in this field. He was knighted in 2021 for services to autism and received the MRC Millennium Medal in 2023. In 2017, he gave a keynote address at the United Nations on Autism and Human Rights.

Asst. Prof. Giorgia Michelini
Dr. Giorgia Michelini is a Lecturer in Psychology at Queen Mary University of London. Her research focuses on why young people with neurodevelopmental conditions are more likely to experience mental health problems, and how to better detect, predict, and support these co-occurring issues. She combines methods from developmental psychopathology, genetics, transdiagnostic models, and cognitive neuroscience (especially EEG), and works collaboratively with people with lived experience and charities to co-produce impactful research.
Website
Prof. Emily Jones
Professor Emily Jones holds positions at King’s College London and the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development at Birkbeck, University of London. Her research focuses on the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying individual differences in developmental trajectories. She leads longitudinal studies of infants with genetic conditions or family histories of autism and ADHD, and directs EEG and eyetracking work across large European and global studies of neurodevelopmental conditions.
Website
Prof. Angelica Ronald
Angelica Ronald has over 20 years' experience in researching the genetic basis of neurodiversity. She has investigated the causes of neurodevelopmental conditions and why different neurodevelopmental conditions tends to co-occur. She was awarded the British Psychological Society Spearman medal and the International Society for Autism Research young investigator award for her research on neurodiversity. She is currently Professor of Psychology and Genetics in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Surrey. Much of the work on neurodiversity in her lab is led by neurodiverse scientists.
Website
Prof. Duncan Astle
Professor Duncan Astle is the Gnodde Goldman Professor of Neuroinformatics at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge, Programme Leader at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, and Fellow of Robinson College. He leads the 4D Lab, which uses a range of analytical tools to investigate key clinical and fundamental questions about childhood development. His research has been supported by major funders including the Royal Society, the Wellcome Trust, the ESRC, and the MRC.
