Our Values, Our Voices: A Calendar of CommunityA Journey of Young Hearts Across Borders
“Our Values, Our Voices: A Calendar of Community" is a heartfelt journey undertaken by our young eTwinners from Greece, Italy, Romania, and Turkey to explore the core values that make our world better. Working in six transnational teams and guided by mentor teachers, the students chose values that resonated deeply with them—such as honesty, kindness, justice, and cooperation—and brought them to life through creative expression.Month by month, they collaborated to co-create a calendar filled with poems, proverbs, stories, artwork, songs, and digital designs. Each contribution reflects not only their growing understanding of these values, but also their unique voices, cultural perspectives, and the joy of building something meaningful together. This storytelling invites you to witness their journey—one rooted in empathy, enriched by creativity, and united by a shared hope for a kinder, more respectful world.

All about us
Teachers' introductions
Our schools
Students' introductions
Students, helped by their teachers, learned how to pick a location and add information about their school in the shared Padlet map
Students created posters to introduce themselves to their partners. They included an avatar of themselves. their favorite food, hobby, or color, and a photo or drawing of something special from their culture—such as a famous landmark, traditional clothing, or a local dish.
All the partners introduced themselves in a Padlet
Click on the photos to see the Padlet
Pupils could choose to create the logo of the project by drawing or by using digital tools. Then they showcased their logo in Padlet.
. Each school chose 4 of their best logos, uploaded them to a shared google form and voted
The logo should be: - Simple, Original, Clear – Easily recognizable and memorable. - Limited in Color (just 2-3 colors for a clean, professional look that works well on any background.)
Here is the most voted logo

Let's embark on our journey to explore values.
Exploring Shared Values For A Better World
They thoughtfully explored important life values using simple materials that their teachers had shared on Digipad
warming up
Students shared meaningful values in a Twinpoll. They used one word each to describe a positive value.
Each student shared why those values mattered to them.
Here are some photos of pupils while doing the activity
Jigsaw of Values
Students completed the jigsaw puzzles about values that teachers prepared for them. They had fun learning about ethics, respect, honesty, and integrity.
Here are some photos of pupils while doing the activity
calendar Kickoff: Spinning the Wheel to Assign the Months
warming up
We used a wheel to match each team to two months.
Results of the matching
We started by matching each team with two months. The next step was to organize the students into teams based on their favorite months.
Creating six Transational teams of Values
Teachers analyzed what their pupils had written in Padlet and created the transnational teams based on the students' preferences.
Pupils wrote in the section of their favourite months.

Transational teams meet, discuss and make decisions
Transnational Teams met.. During the meeting they played games
Then we used a spinning wheel to match an adjective to each month
Finally, pupils unmuted themselves and the shyest wrote in the chat to share what they would like to create for their month.

key ingredients of our project
Enthusiasm
Flexibility
Communication was frequent. We used many channels!
Effective communication is the key to working together as a team. We shared the project Netiquette with partners and we informed pupils and families about Data protection, Copyright. and we got the Privacy consent signed by them
Communication was necessary in order to know the progress of the project, to plan future activities, to give information about the roles for a particular task. The starting point was the sharing of the draft of the Project plan with all the partners by a common google doc. Everyone could make suggestions
messenger group was created and used for faster information
Click on the interactive element to read the original plan
online meetings were used to discuss about the project plan, activities, and distribution of the tasks
emails were used to sum up what we had said during the videoconferences and to give more detailed information
Chats, forums and online meetings with pupils were used to know each other, to share opinions, to discuss, to make decisions
We also considered the results of the the pre surveys
Monitoring had an important role because it allowed us to make adjustments in our teaching methods and strategies but also in the planning of future activities. Moreover it gave us the chance to provide feedback to pupils.A component of monitoring was the systematic observation of pupils at work and play, how they interacted with teachers and with peers,, their involvement in the project activities.
- Do I listen to my pupils' opinions ?
- How much are they involved in this type of activity?
- Are my pupils having difficulties
- to do this task?
- Are pupils interacting with their peers?
- Are they collaborating with their team?
- Is each of them contributing to the final product?
- Are they respecting deadline?
And for the project final evaluation we considered continuity of participation, completion of products, and the final surveys for pupils, teachers and families
dissemination
These are some of the ways we spread the word about our project, because sharing our work helps inspire others and connect with a wider community.
sharing is caring!
Thanks
