You're in a group learning session. During a coffee break, one participant tells a joke that you find offensive and inappropriate. Some people laugh awkwardly, others go quiet. You're unsure if anyone else felt uncomfortable, but you did.

Your challenge is to handle this situation in a way that:

• Respects social norms
• Acknowledges inappropriate behaviour
• Maintains group harmony (if possible)

You don’t have to confront the person directly in front of the group — your response can take different forms
