I’ve promoted women’s participation in politics using my platform.
My diplomacy background and vision for equality inspired young women to see themselves as leaders.
Hooray!
"You’ve just discovered Irina Bokova. A Bulgarian diplomat and advocate for equal rights. On 15 November 2009, she took office as the ninth Director-General of UNESCO, marking two firsts: the first female and the first Southeastern European to head the agency.”
I hope my example inspires future generations.

Your guess was correct!
Gender equality means: - equal access to resources, - opportunities, - decision-making power for all genders. That's why the symbol combines both gender icons with the mathematical sign for equality — representing balance and fairness for everyone.
Which is the Symbol of Gender equality?
In student council elections, fewer girls run for president because people think boys are more “natural leaders.” What’s the best way to deal with this?
Cancel all elections forever
Challenge those stereotypes and support leadership for all genders
Flip a coin to choose the president
Only let girls run next time

Dear Player, Welcome to "A Journey to Equality", an interactive online scavenger hunt created as part of DiGE project - "Digit@lly Together for Gender Equality". DiGE is a 3-year project involving 7 youth organisations from Europe and Africa, including Bulgaria, Spain, Cyprus, Ghana, Uganda, Malawi, and Kenya, aiming to empower young people as advocates and creators of gender-equal and inclusive societies, combining online learning with real-world action. Since 2023 over 330 young people (18–25 years) from vulnerable groups have taken part in digital trainings, gender equality dialogue sessions, and soft skills development workshops. Now as part of their final project in 2025, they have created this interactive online game featuring comics, choices, puzzles, and real-world stories. As you navigate the world map, you will uncover gender equality challenges, meet local changemakers, and join a global journey for social change. DiGE (Project 101084010 — ERASMUS-EDU-2021-VIRT-EXCH) is co-funded by the European Union.

Women in these sports are often assumed to be gender non-conforming, even if that’s not the case. It reinforces harmful ideas that femininity and athleticism cannot coexist. On the other hand sponsors often prefer female athletes who fit conventional beauty standards, leaving others underfunded.

Uganda’s Employment Act grants men 4 days of paid paternity leave, with a 2023 bill proposing 7 days still pending approval. Gender roles remain entrenched—women bear care and economic burdens, while men’s caregiving is limited. Legal reforms like expanded leave signal progress, but real change requires enforcement and cultural shifts.
