MISSING OBJECT

MEET THE SCHOOL

Respect the diversity - a set of activities

Nice activities to know the school and its rules

About 50 minutes

Missing object

Once all the items are on the desk, one student leaves the room. We hide one of the items. The student returns and must guess which item is missing

Each student brings an item that they love or that represents them. Everyone presents their item and places it on the desk.

At this point, students take turns asking closed questions (such as YES/NO questions) to guess what these pieces of information represent in the teacher’s life. .

Star

The teacher draws a star and adds a piece of information about herself/himself at each point of the star, but the information should not be immediately obvious..

Meet the school

  • Represent data with graphics.
  • Use timelines.
  • It's animated and interactive.
  • Excites the brain through multimedia elements.
  • Do NOT overdo it with bullet points 🙃.
  • Website of the school
  • About the school
  • School rules
  • Kahoot about the school
  • Kahoot about the rules

The Cauldron

  • The teacher asks each student to privately write a fact about themselves on a small piece of paper, ideally one that has come up during the previous icebreaker activities.
  • Then, everyone forms a circle and the pieces of paper are placed in the centre.
  • Each student draws a piece of paper and, based on what is written, must try to guess who the author is.

Speed Date

Divide the class into 2 groups. The 1st group (B) is sitting and in turn each student from the second group (A) sits in front of a member of the 1st group.

Each pair has 2 minutes to ask each other questions. At the end of the time, each student from the 2nd group stands up and moves to the right to sit with the next partner. It is advisable to use a timer to manage the time.

- Bullying and cyberbullying - Teens problems - Agenda 2030 - Cultural diversity - Different abilities - Social Disadvantages
