The aim of these vocabulary games is to either teach new words or revise what ss have already learnt. There are many flashcard and word exercises which help ss remember vocabulary connected with Present Simple everyday activities. T can use each activity separately or go from the first to the last one in the order provided or combine them to suit their needs. The activities are based on memorizing, matching, writing or revising the actions. The instructions for the students are in the titles of the activities.
* Messy domino 1 & 2
* Brain exercise 1 & 2
Slide 3 through 6 contain the flashcards that T may show to ss in order to teach them everyday activities. Ss may also do it themselves to study the words. After the page with flashcards, ss need to demonstrate what they remember by writing the activities they studied in order.
Slide 10-11 contain cards with images which have wrong captions. The aim of the activity is to correct them by saying what the kids in the pictures do. The exercise practices negative sentences and positive ones with the use of 3rd person singular. Follow-up: Use these images to encourage ss to write all the sentences which can later be read out loud.

* What do you remember?

It's a simple flashcard activity illustrating all previously learnt words. T shows the image and ss repeat the words they studied. (slide 7)
* Find a match 1 & 2
Slide 12 and 13 contain the flashcards and word cards that ss need to match in order to complete the activity. Ask ss to say the correct sentences after they have completed the activity.

* Matching time 1 & 2

It's a mini Dobble game where ss need to match the images to the words appearing on the screen. There are 2 sets, each containing different activities. (slide 8-9) Team race: Organize a team race for ss to come to the board and mark the correct image.
* Final check
This exercise checks how much ss remembered from previous activities. They write the correct words under the images.

How to play

The aim of these games is to either teach or review Present Continuous and give students a thorough practice in creating full sentences in Present Continuous. There are many flashcard activities which encourage students to speak and create sentences. T can use each activity separately and pick any which suits their needs or go from the first to the last one in the order provided to give ss organized practice. The activities are based on creating full sentences with correct tense format - both positive and negative. The instructions for the students are in the titles of the activities.
* Grammar point
* Are they really doing it?
The ss see the images which present activities that people do EVERY DAY and TODAY. T shows the pairs of images with the sentences to demonstrate the context or simply revise the use of present continuous. There is also a short note presenting the basic structure of the tense.
This activity is designed to practice formation of both positive and negative sentences, but it can be easily turned also into a question formation practice. The ss see a set of an image with a verb and create the sentences based on the information. He isn't dancing. He is having lunch. Extended activity: ask ss to do this activity in pairs, tell them to ask each other questions about the images. The other s answers according to the image.

* Image Match

It's a simple match activity where ss need to match the name that matches the person doing the activity described in the sentences. It can serve as a basic recognition activity to reinforce ss' understanding.
* Let's write
This exercise helps ss to practice spelling and correct tense formation. It requires ss to write correct forms of the verbs based on the images.

* Speaking time

It's a fun timed activity in which ss need to produce full sentences to say all of them before the time runs out. Every time the time is up, you can restart the activity with a different set of images.

Team race: Turn this activity into a team race - put ss into 2 teams. Ask the students to call out the sentence interchangeably. The ss who is still saying the sentence when the board disappears loses. it can encourage classroom dynamics and also make ss speak faster.
