As a cyber school, the learning management system (LMS) is the heart of all that we do because it houses all of our course work and is where students submit assignments and take assessments. Our content developers are trained in course design and leverage resources such as the National Standards for Quality Online Courses. The ISD team ensures functionality once courses are loaded into the LMS.
What are Live Labs?
We refer to our synchronous instructional class with the teacher as a Live Lab. Each class meets one or more times per week for an hour or more. Students get a schedule at the beginning of the year with the date and time of all Live Labs. These are opportunities to:
- Build relationships with the teacher and peers
- Receive instruction and support on essential standards and lessons
- Ask questions and learn from others
- Stay on pace with coursework
Personal Support
In addition to time spent in the live class with a teacher, messaging, and emails, students have more options to get personalized assistance when it is needed. Open and two-way communication is at the heart of finding success at 21CCCS.
- Virtual Office & Office Hours - The middle and high school share information about the schedule of availability to get questions answered and assistance on course work.
- Academic Advisors - Every student is assigned a personal advisor who can help create personalized educational goals and provide support to meet them. answer questions, provide reminders and more.
