Manual Override
Connects to the implement module’s CAN socket via an integrated cable. It includes two toggle switches, one to turn off vision guidance and turn on manual control. The second centre sprung switch drives the implement to the right or left.

LED Light
Our modules have an additional output that can be used to drive night working lights. Customers are welcome to provide their own lights, but we offer an array of two LED lights that provide symmetric illumination over a camera field of view.

Camera
CMOS Ethernet cameras with high dynamic range for robust performance in high contrast lighting. Packaged in an aluminium waterproof case with O-ring seals, they are designed to withstand the agricultural environment.
They are available with two alternative lens focal lengths. The normal 6mm lens is appropriate for most inter-row and spot spray applications. The wider angle 4mm lens option is used to achieve a wider view where camera height is limited, typically but not exclusively in-row applications.
Our standard camera produces conventional RGB images. We also offer a special camera with sensitivity in the near infra-red that can be used to track crops of a colour that can sometimes be difficult to located in RGB images. These include dark coloured brassicas and crops with mixed colouration.
Cameras are pre-programmed with their parameters so that our software will automatically identify camera and lens type, and process images appropriately.
Odometer Sensor Input
Speed data can be provided in a variety of ways. The module has an input to count pulses from a ground wheel or GPS based sensor. Alternatively, speed can be derived from the tractors 7 pin ISO socket or via ISOBUS. If none of those signals are provided speed can be estimated from the flow of features through image sequences.

Console
A showerproof compact console with bright high contrast 9” touchscreen and single cable connection for a clutter free cab and clear information presentation including live video.
The console contains a powerful fanless PC that does all image processing and plant tracking. The case acts as a heat sink so it should be mounted in a way that allows free movement of air around the case.
A waterproof USB connector in the base provides a means of getting data in and out for the purpose of software updates, taking backups/restoring and exporting data such as images.

Interrow Module
A waterproof robust implement mounted control module with individual connectors to all sensors and outputs for simple installation and maintenance. The module contain an ethernet switch and a proprietary circuit board that communicates with the console via ethernet. That board provides the interface with all sensors and valves. It provides short circuit protection and diagnostic information to help with fault finding. It also includes a bridge to our proprietary CAN network for a variety of auxiliary devices. For inter-row operation these are most likely to be for a manual override box or feeler guidance. As standard the module has two camera sockets, though up to four are available on request.
As an option an ISOBUS interface can be added which is currently used to provide 12V power, tractor speed and hitch position. Other function will be added in the future.

Feeler Guidance
Connects to the implement module’s CAN socket via an integrated cable. It has up to four proximity sensor inputs allowing it to take inputs from either one or two pairs of feeler sensors sometimes referred to as wands. These are arranged to gently brush up against rows of stems so that should the implement move out of alignment a proximity detector is activated triggering a lateral correction. Most commonly used in crops like mature Maize.

Lift / Fold Input
Vision guidance is automatically stopped when the implement is lifted. This can be detected directly using proximity detectors or mechanical switches. Alternatively the tractors 7pin ISO socket or ISOBUS can be used to get this data from the tractor without need for additional sensors.
