Newline - Panel Control
You can easily switch between connected devices by pressing the source button on the remote. Or, you can switch sources with a voice request. The Newline panel has five sources that you can ask for with a voice request: Home HDMI 1 HDMI 2 HDMI 3 USB-C For Example: "Switch to HDMI 2." "Go home."

You can can adjust your panel’s brightness using a voice request. Brightness can be turned all the way up, down, or set to a specific level. You can change brightness to a specific percentage (between 0-100%). Example voice requests: "Brightness up 10%." "Decrease brightness."

Newline - Panel Control
You can adjust your panel’s volume using the volume buttons on the remote, or with voice requests. Volume can be muted, unmuted, or set to a specific level. Levels can range between 1-10, or teacers can set volume to a specific percentage (between 0-100%). Example voice requests: "Turn volume up." "Volume down by 10%." "Set volume to 50%."

Using specific voice requests, you can:
- Open whiteboard
- Change the pen color
- Open a new/additional whiteboard page
- Close the whiteboard
You can press and hold the orange button in the center of the D-Pad on the remote to write or draw on the screen from far away. Note: Although it is possible, it can be difficult to use the Air Mouse to write legibly on the whiteboard, but this feature works great for underlining, highlighting, or circling text and images on the whiteboard. Example voice requests: "Open whiteboard""New page""Change pen color to red." "Close whiteboard."

- Google Sheets

Example voice requests: "Open annotation." "Close casting." Once you the application, you can use the D-pad and Air mouse to navigate within the application.

Ask Merlyn to take a screenshot. Press and hold the Push-to-talk button and say, "Take a screenshot." Merlyn will take a screenshot and automatically save it to your default location for screenshots.

If you are showing PC via HDMI or casting – you can use the freeze screen feature so your screen will remain fixed while you continue to navigate your computer. This is useful when you want to look something up or access private information without your students getting distracted or seeing inappropriate content. You can freeze and unfreeze your screen with a single voice request or by pressing the freeze screen button on the Merlyn Remote Control. Example voice requests: "Freeze screen." "Unfreeze screen."
