The aim of these vocabulary games is to either teach or check how much your ss know. There are many visual activities that help ss learn and reinforce their knowledge. You can start with simple recognition exercise - flashcards and later gradually give ss more practice with new words to help them remember them. T can use each activity separately or combine them any way they want. The activities are based on a matching exercise - flashcards and names or write-in exercise - where ss need to write the correct word.
* Flashcards
* Picture match
It's another matching exercise but this time, ss first see the words and match the images to them.
It's a simple exercise which teaches ss the words in a set.
* Say the name
* Semi bingo
The idea of the exercise is the same as the previous one, but this time T elicits the words from the ss. By clicking the image the word is revealed.
It's a fun game that keeps ss attentive. Every time they make a mistake, the game is restarted until everything is done correctly from the beginning to the end.
* Correct them
* Memory game
These flashcards allow the teacher to elicit sentence structure and encourage ss to speak. The ss need to produce negative and positive sentences. Each time you click you get a set of a body part with the wrong name. Ss need to correct the information.
It's a traditional MEMORY GAME to keep ss engaged. There are 3 boards to practice all the words.
* Label the monster
It's another matching activity, however this time, organized on the basis of one image. Ss need to work out the correct names for each body part.
* Name match
This exercise should be done by ss who should simply match the names to the images. You can use it to organize a class game to check what ss learnt. There are 2 exercises for this activity.
* Spell check
It's a writing activity to teach ss spelling and practice it.
