"Watching Spanish music and dances"
Aimilia Katraki,51st Kindergarden of Heraklion,Greece/Crete
First, we heard a Spanish story "Lola's Fandango" through which we learned about flamenco, the famous Spanish dance.
The children were impressed by the dance, which was completely different from the Cretan dances they know.
They were impressed by how they use their hands and feet in the dance
We couldn't help but dance the wonderful Spanish dance we learned.
First the girls danced holding castanets and the boys clapped their hands in rhythm from 1 to 12. Then they danced in pairs.
