NEVROKOPIOU STREET

Nevrokopiou street is connected to Kato Nevrokopi, a region famous for its cold temperatures during the winter.

LITOHOROU STREET

The street is named after the town of Litohoro, located near Mount Olympus. Mount Olympus is one of the most famous mountains in Greece.

THIS IS OUR SCHOOL

Ioanninon Street. This street is important for Thessaloniki, as it connects the city to Ioannina, one of the most historic cities in Greece. It is the street of our school.
STRATOU OR ARMY AVENUE

This avenue is important for Thessaloniki as it passes by the Third Army Corps. It has a history dating back to the late Nineteenth century.

PAPAFI STREET

Papafi Street is named after Ioannis Papafis, a great benefactor of Thessaloniki. He was born in Smyrna in 1792 and became a successful merchant in Alexandria, Egypt. He helped the Greek Revolution and gave money to support schools and health in Thessaloniki. The Papafio Orphanage was built thanks to his donation. The orphanage still exists today.

MPIZANIOU STREET

This street is named after the Battle of Mpizani in 1913. There, the Greek army liberated Ioannina and Epirus.

KILKISIOU STREET

This street’s name is connected to the city of Kilkis, which has played an important role in the history of Macedonia.

THEAGENOUS HARISI STREET

This street is named after Theagenes Charisis, a great benefactor of Thessaloniki. He donated his fortune in 1863 to create a modern hospital for the city.

SPANDONIDI STREET

This street is named after Petros Spandonidis, a teacher and writer who contributed greatly to the philosophy and literature of Thessaloniki.
