Yannis Tsarouchis (1910-1989) was a Greek painter and set designer. Tsarouchis was inspired by nature and its colours. His paintings depict folkloric elements of Greece, such as everyday life, neoclassical buildings, the port of Piraeus and sailors. His work Fishermen and Boy (1949) captures an aspect of the everyday life of Greek fisher men in the 1940s.
