Fascinating Facts About St. Mark’s Basilica

St. Mark’s Basilica is in Venice, Italy. It is a beautiful example of Byzantine architecture and is well-known for its detailed mosaics, which cover more than 8,000 square meters! This famous church was built in the 11th century and is the main church of Venice, dedicated to St. Mark, the city's patron saint. The church has survived many floods and attacks, making it a symbol of strength and faith for the people of Venice.
