La Roda de Andalucia is a small and peaceful town found in the midst of an ocean of olive trees on the road from Seville to the province of Málaga, in the centre of Andalusia.

From the train station in Antequera or Puente Genil, you can travel to Madrid (2 hours) or Barcelona (5 hours). The south of Portugal (Algarve) and the north of Morocco are relatively close. The airport of Malaga, in the Sun Coast, has many frequent connections with European capitals too.

Bigger cities like Seville, Córdoba, Málaga or Granada are one hour travelling by car. You can reach us from the airport of Seville and from Malaga, both are more or less at the same distance. We have train and bus station nearby, so you can easily move to another cities.

Getting to school

Possibility of car-pooling with other teachers without any cost.

Many teachers do not live in La Roda, but in surrounding bigger cities like Antequera (30 minutes by car) or Estepa (15 minutes by car).

You can walk to school.

Accommodation

Living in La Roda is a possibility, although it is a small town with few services. Antequera or Estepa could be considered.

Accommodation

Antequera has around 45,000 inhabitants, train and bus station, language schools, gyms, indoor swimming pool, a shopping centre and a cinema.

Estepa is smaller, around 13,000 inhabitants, and has a bus station, a train station-10 minutes by car in Herrera-Puente Genil, gyms, sport centres and a cinema.

Both cities are historical, with castles, museums and many monuments and they have many pubs and restaurants.

Accommodation

In both, Antequera or Estepa, you can meet more language assistants who are working in schools, high schools or language academies.

The assistants do not usually share a flat with other teachers or stay with a family, but they rent a flat on their own.
