A profile is a way to authorize users to access one or several applications (Bonita applications or your own ones). It can be seen as an initial level of visibility rights applied across the system. You can use our 3 default profiles or create custom ones based on your company's needs.

Custom Profiles
Bonita also allows you to create custom profiles if you need to grant visibility rights to a group of users for a Bonita application. This might be interesting to limit access to the "Internal Policy Update" application to users in the HR group, for example. It is represented as books here. This custom profile will allow you to create and update these users within your organization.
