This collaboration brought together students from Greece and Spain. From the 4th Senior High School of Xanthi and IES Alonso Avellaneda, They have built bridges of friendship, shared purpose, deeper understanding of the European Union, promoting active citizenship, and building intercultural awarenes
Learning About the European Union
The first task was to explore the European Union – what it is, how it works, and why it matters.
It was an eye-opening experience that helped understand their responsibilities as EU citizens..
Students learned about the main institutions, the values that guide the EU, and how decisions are made.
The EU Jeopardy Quiz!
Learning met fun when students played an EU-themed Jeopardy quiz!.
It was a great way to revise, challenge each other, and have a lot of laughs..
Questions covered history, symbols, institutions, and fun facts about the EU.
Participatory Democracy – Lesson Plan
One of the most powerful parts of the meeting was implementing Team 8’s lesson plan: Participatory Democracy.
Activities like debates and discussions helped them think critically and express our opinions respectfully.
Stydents explored how they can take part in decision-making, from school to society.
