Africa is projected to be home to more than 1.28 billion Christians.
Christianity is rapidly expanding in the Global South, particularly in Africa and Asia. Africa now has approximately 734 million Christians, growing at a rate of 2.64% annually. By 2050, Africa is projected to be home to more than 1.28 billion Christians.

The 20th century saw a major rise in international missionary activity. It’s expected to reach 445,000 this year and could grow to 600,000 by 2050, underscoring the continued global effort to spread the Christian faith.

Every Nation, Every Language, Every Soul

Since 1900, the availability of the New Testament in various languages has expanded significantly. In 1900, only 227 languages had New Testament translations. By 2024, this number had increased to 1,726 languages, with full Bibles available in 756 languages. Looking ahead, projections indicate continued progress in Bible translation. By 2050, it's anticipated that the New Testament will be available in approximately 4,200 languages, reflecting a concerted global effort to make Scripture accessible to all language communities.

Rodney & Kaja Corcoran
The Corcoran’s continue to focus their ministry on the Bible School they lead with an emphasis on equipping the next generation of church plant leaders in practical ministry. This summer, an outreach team will be traveling to various locations in Estonia to minister to young people with the message of hope that can only be found in Jesus.

Greg & Lynne Swinamer
They have been serving full time in Europe for over 23 years. This year, they relocated their base of operations to be local in Calgary, though Greg still continues to travel extensively within Europe and focuses on his leadership and raising continued support for the LIFE Center projects his team leads.

CAMBODIA | INDIA | MALAWI
Sara Curdie
Sara continues to serve in different countries in Asia with the ZOE Network. Sara’s ministry empowers women and girls by addressing poverty and gender inequality. Through ZOE projects, she partners locally to provide business funding, scholarships, and health education. Sara is also involved in leadership development conferences and trainings with women in churches in Cambodia, India, Thailand, Malawi, Indonesia, and more.

Derick's Youth Centre (DYC)
The DYC is a ministry run out of FA that is geared towards reaching out to the marginalized youth in Calgary. We have 3 locations that run programs weekly in different neighborhoods around the city, Applewood, Shaganappi, and Elbow Drive. We have seen God’s faithfulness in abounding measure. Young men and women are being lead and mentored into becoming healthy and mature young adults.

University Campus Ministries (UCM)
Kelly and Barb Johnson’s ministry is centered on UCM, where they lead vibrant faith communities at U of C, MRU, and SAIT. Their work includes daily prayer, worship, community, and scripture study, along with outreach efforts like serving meals to the homeless and engaging international students exploring the Christian faith.

NORTHWEST TERRITORIES
James & Karina Clarence - Cornerstone Church
Last year, we sent Pastor James, Karina, and their family to Yellowknife to help rebuild churches and bring hope to this spiritually needy region. Through Kingdom Builders, we're partnering with the ABNWT to advance the Pentecostal Sub-Arctic Mission and share the Gospel with those who’ve never heard His name.

Latin America/Caribbean
Mark & Val Hazzard
Mark serves as the Regional Missions Director for Latin America/ Caribbean (LAC) with the PAOC, serving approximately 40 missionaries in 16 countries in the region. Together in the region, the Global Workers serve hundreds of sponsored children through ChildCare Plus – a program that works alongside local churches in serving vulnerable children and their families to help overcome the chronic cycle of poverty through education and other strategic interventions.

Renaissance Canada
Jessica Sanchez, a filmmaker and musician based in Calgary, AB, and an avid member of our church, is launching Renaissance Canada, a ministry designed to support and care for artists across Canada. Jess envisions several initiatives for Renaissance, including Artist Showcases to highlight hidden talents in congregations, Artist-in-Residency programs in churches, and a tailored version of Alpha specifically for artists. Her long-term goal is to bridge the gap between the arts and the Church, empowering leaders to support creative teams.

Peter & Cavelle Dove
They have served in Asia since 2002. Peter serves in a catalytic role as the Regional Director for Asia with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). The region hosts 100+ Global Workers in 18 countries, serving over 60% of the world’s population and diverse religious communities, with a primary focus on unreached people groups. Much of his team works within Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim contexts where the cost of following Jesus is high.

Calgary Dream Centre (CDC)
The CDC experienced a full and exciting 2024. A rebrand was launched to inspire hope across Calgary, with the powerful slogan: “Because no one is beyond hope.” Serving over 370 individuals this year, the true highlight remains the transformation seen in clients’ lives, made possible by the faithful generosity of those who give in His name. This transformation from despair to hope represents the journey many experience at CDC.

Darcy & Leanne
They serve and lead the ZOE Network. Within Asia, they continue to invest in marriage ministries through conferences and mentorship. With ZOE Network, they have seen over 100 people complete their identity course and they are seeing deeply impactful and transformative work within those who they serve in these ways.

Ian & Tiffanie Rowley
They PAOC global workers that have been in Cambodia since 2012. Ian is the director of the Global Student Centre, that celebrated its opening last year and is fully operational now. This centre provides safe housing for students that come to the city to study. Tiffanie is the director of the ChildCare Plus program (CCP) that ministers to over 650 children in 15 communities. Ian’s year was centered on the extensive building and moving in efforts for the student Centre, a challenging yet joy filled endeavor.

Axis Church is an online ministry dedicated to supporting house churches and equipping their leaders worldwide. God is using diverse strategies and approaches to grow His church globally. Axis Church is currently partnering with leaders in 46 countries to help them thrive in their calling.
