Key Activities: Movies Against Discrimnation - An open seminar with a movie screening on LGBTQI+ topics. The seminar will highlight the EU LGBTQI+ equality strategy, focusing on social acceptance, safety, and combating discrimination. It will involve youth, LGBTQI+ NGOs and local authorities, promoting respect for human rights and SOGIESC. Strategic Workshop on Inclusion & Diversity - A workshop for employees, youth, teachers, and international participants to promote inclusive work environments and gender-inclusive language. Participants will address unconscious bias and fill out a Eurobarometer survey on LGBTQI+ social acceptance in the EU.

Minorities Rights

Key Activities: Being minorities in the European Union - A round table focusing on the experience of minorities in the EU, with a special emphasis on France and minority women. The event will begin with a movie screening on minorities in Europe. Discussions will cover topics such as: EU Antiracism Action Plan 2020-2025; EU Strategy on Combating Antisemitism; EU Roma Framework for Equality; Being Black in the EU. Developing the Unity of All - Art workshops for youth and seniors, focusing on unity and commemorating the EU's efforts for Jews, Roma, Muslims and Africans in Europe. Workshop results will be showcased in a street art exhibition. Discussions will include gender perspectives and the contributions of immigrant backgrounds to local societies. The event concludes with a celebration of EU united in diversity.

Preventing hate speech & crime

Key Activities: Preventing Hate Speech - An open workshop for local communities, NGOs and youth to discuss hate speech and its impact on democracy and human rights. Participants will learn about hate speech, its harmful effects, and how to counter it with alternative speech, cultural dialogue, and counter-speech. The workshop will also cover the EU compendium on hate crime practices and how to report hate speech, with insights from international participants. Countering Hate Speech Online – A workshop focused on countering hate speech online, covering: EU Code of Conduct on illegal hate speech; European Online Hate Lab; Study on right-wing extremist content (2021). The session will also explore contemporary movements tackling online hate speech.

Human Rights

Key Activies: Deconstructing HUMAN RIGHTS – An engaging public event in Beja bringing together local communities – including youth, students, seniors, and adults – for an open round table on the origins and development of human rights in the EU and partner countries. Exploring the European Convention on Human Rights, the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Includes presentations, workshops, Q&A session and space for testimonials and discussion. Photo Street Exhibition – Human rights-themed photo displays prepared by project partners, exhibited in public spaces across Beja. Short presentations will be offered by partners to contextualize the photos for local audiences.

Gender Mainstreaming

Key Activies: Combating Gender Stereotypes - A seminar introducing gender mainstreaming with a focus on gender-based violence and data from partner countries. Topics include gender stereotypes, pay and care gaps, equality in work, politics and decision-making. Local and international voices will contribute to the discussion. Workshop with Gender Toolkit – Follow-up workshop with youth and seniors on gender stereotypes, featuring the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2020–2025 and Action Plan on the gender pay gap. Female Faces of EU – A public photo exhibition of 20 outstanding contemporary EU women, highlighting their impact in fields like literature, art, science, music, sport and politics. The exhibition will honor their achievements and inspire future generations.

Making Space for Women and Girls

Key Activities: Conference - Event with debates and deconstructing the Istanbul Convention, including its relation to the digital dimension of violence against women. It will introduce the situation of Italian women and girls from a local perspective with the participation of residents of Rome. The aim is to provide information about the Istanbul Convention, sexual and reproductive health and rights in Europe, progress and challenges, women’s empowerment, specific measures and GREVIO. The event will draw on public collective memory and include focused debate on action against violence against women and domestic violence. Woman Empowerment Meetings - This conference will be followed by a series of events to identify the key challenges faced by partner countries in addressing digital violence against women.

EU Human Rights Institutions

Key Activities: OXFORD Debate - A debate during which participants will argue for or against a pre-determined motion based on important European Court of Human Rights cases since 2007. Cases will be selected by participants, with analysis provided by partner organizations. Exploration of EU Human Rights Institutions – a public seminar for Peloponnese community members, youth, local women’s associations and Roma people, combined with training on key EU human rights institutions like the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights and the European Institute for Gender Equality. The seminar will cover European Court of Human Rights procedures and answer common questions about the Court’s operations, including judges' roles and case admissibility.
