Practical recommendations
- Use ICTs not only for activities inside the classroom, but also as a resource for planning, generating ideas or resources for in-classroom activities, among others. Some useful tools are Magic School, Curipod, or Copilot.
- Include Digital Game-Based Learning opportunities to foster motivation and autonomy, for instance, during vocabulary acquisition stages. Some tools that can be used are: Wordwall, Genially, Quizizz, Kahoot, Blooket, among others.
- Use visual aids to contribute to the understanding of ideas and concepts presented in lessons, such as Youtube videos or other presentation tools, for instance: Canva or Prezi.
- Use ICT tools that allow students to review, practice, or explore content at their own pace, such as online quizzes, Liveworksheets, or interactive videos on Nearpod or Edpuzzle.
- Use digital quizzes, interactive polls, or formative assessment apps to provide immediate feedback. Some tools that can be used are: SurveyMonkey, Google Forms and Mentimeter.
- Use collaborative tools, such as discussion forums and shared documents, to encourage teamwork and peer feedback. Some suggested tools are Padlet and Wooclap.
