  • Use AI tools like Copilot or ChatGPT to rephrase ideas in different styles.
  • Try AI-generated prompts to push creative boundaries.

Avoiding Over-Reliance

While AI is a powerful tool, relying on it too much limits original thinking. Signs of over-reliance include:

  • Content feels generic or lacks a personal voice.
  • AI-generated ideas don’t align with creative intent.
  • AI becomes a crutch instead of a tool for inspiration.

Continuous reliance on AI for tasks may lead to a decline in our skills and knowledge. Balancing AI assistance with personal effort is crucial to keep our abilities sharp.

Ethical AI Use in Creativity

Using AI responsibly ensures that creativity remains authentic. Some examples of best practice includes:

  • Always credit AI-generated contributions when necessary.
  • Avoid misrepresenting AI-generated work as entirely human-made.
  • Be mindful of biases in AI-generated content.

AI Writing Assistance

Using AI tools like Copilot or ChatGPT for writing assistance can help students brainstorm ideas, structure their thoughts, and improve grammar and clarity. It’s a great way to boost productivity, especially when facing writer’s block or tight deadlines.

Try ChatGPT

Enhancing, not Replacing AI

AI should serve as an idea generator, not a final creator. Some enhancement techniques include:

  • Blending AI-generated visuals with hand-drawn elements for originality.
  • Use AI for overcoming writer’s block.
  • Use AI to remix music, not just create tracks from scratch.
  • Tailor AI-generated content to match personal or brand specific styles.
