used to talk about events that unlikely to happen in the future

Structure

If + subject + past simple + would + infinitive

If i played more the guitar, I would be a great artist If you were a good brother, you would help your little brother

Uses

1.- To talk about things in the future that are probably not going to happen

2.- To talk abot something in the present wich is impossible, because it's no true
