Personal opinion
In our opinion, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole is a very funny and interesting book. We liked it because it shows teenage problems in a real way, but also with humor. Adrian is a bit dramatic, but that makes the story more entertaining. We also liked how he talks about love, school, and his family. Sometimes we didn’t really understand what was happening around him, and that made it even funnier. In conclusion, we think that many teenagers can feel identified with him. It’s an easy book to read and we enjoyed it a lot.

Bert Baxter Bert is an old man who Adrian has to visit as part of a school volunteer program. At first, Adrian can't stand him because he's grumpy, smokes a lot, and has a very dirty house. But over time, they become friends. Bert is a character who brings humor to the book and represents a rare friendship between generations. He also shows that Adrian, despite being somewhat self-centered, has a good heart.
