To tell stories in an orderly, hierarchical, structured, and concise way. These are the four pillars to carry out a successful presentation.
Classical

The Classical period began around 1750. Orchestras changed a lot: the harpsichord and organ were no longer the most important instruments, and wind instruments like the horn, trumpet, clarinet, flute, and oboe joined the strings to create a new sound. These changes led to the rise of the symphony, which became one of the most important musical forms of the time. Classical music is similar to Baroque music, but it is more structured, balanced, and refined.

  • Joseph Haydn (1732–1809)
  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791)
  • Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827)

Renaissance

the Renaissance began after the Middle Ages and was a time of innovation for musicians. It covers music from 1400 to 1600. Music started to move away from strictly religious themes. Most of the music was vocal, but instruments also became important. Renaissance music was polyphonic, meaning it had more than one voice.

  • Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1525-1594)
  • William Byrd (1543-1623)
  • Josquin des Prez (1450-1521)

Romanticism

Music from this era is different because it focuses on expressing emotions. There are more pianos and other instruments, and the scores are more complex and detailed.

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827) → German, a bridge between Classical and Romantic music; his works are highly emotional and dramatic. Frédéric Chopin (1810–1849) → Polish, piano specialist; music is intimate, expressive, and full of feeling. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840–1893) → Russian, famous for ballets, concertos, and symphonies full of emotion and rich orchestration.
