THE EMPIRE DOESN'T TAKE KINDLY TO TRATOIRS.

You run as fast as you can and pray that they don't catch you too.

You search the town but find no trace of Lorian.

He brings you inside and tells you that he tracked the orgin of these creatures to the mountains along the coast. He tells you that he wants to investigate it more, but wishes for some backup. He tells you that if you wish to join him, meet him at the foot of the mountain range to the south in two days. He says it is too dangerous to travel there together. As you both stand, he takes his leave, disappearing into the forest.

You wander about aimlessly until you find a small abandoned house. I man suddenly emerges from it. "Who are you?" he asks as he approaches, a weapon appears to be hidden on him. You blurt out that you are looking for someone named Lorian and that you don't want any trouble. He smiles at you, "Well, if you are looking for me, then I'm afraid you are looking for trouble."

You approach Lorian at the base on the mountian range. he looks up to see you approach. "Ah, there you are, glad you could make it. I'm sure you're wondering why we are here. Well, there is a fortress up in these mountains that I think is the source of these creatures. It's a bit of a walk closer to the coast, torwards the peak of the highest mountain. I hope you're good at climbing.

"You see it now, don't you? That massive fort on the side of the mountain. That is the source of these things at least that's what it seems like to me. If we can just find a way to get inside I'm sure-" Lorian is cut short as an arrow suddenly whistles by the two of you. "Shit! Run!"

You both begin to rush back down the side of the mountain with shouts and orders closing in behind you. You hear Lorian curse to your side as you both tumble down a steep incline, and you land with a hard thud on a small out cropping on the side of the mountain. You hear a sickening crack as Lorian impacts beside you. He screams out in pain and you look over to see his leg is bending in the wrong direction."Just run! Better they only get one of us rather than both. Get out of here while you still can and tell others. We need to stop them," Lorian says as you heard the pursuers closing in.
